Are Early Intervention Services Free?
Yes! Early Intervention services provided through Encompass Family Support Services are completely free to families. From the initial evaluation to the development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and ongoing support, families do not need to worry about any out-of-pocket costs for these services.
Who Can Make a Referral for Early Intervention?
Anyone can make a referral for Early Intervention services—parents, caregivers, teachers, or other professionals like occupational therapists (OTs). A physician’s referral is not required. If you suspect your child may benefit from Early Intervention, getting started is as simple as reaching out.
To initiate the process, families or providers can contact us via email at mailto:mswanson@encompassfss.net or through our online contact form. What Happens After Referral?
Once a referral is made, the Southeast Human Service Center will assign a Case Manager to guide the family through the evaluation and eligibility process. If the child qualifies for Early Intervention, an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) is created to outline the specific goals and services to support their development.
